Fabio Mota Penteado, a Brazilian mercenary with callsign Shaolin Cacador, arrived in Ukraine in October 2024 and joined the International Legion's Charlie 2 Company. He was seriously injured by shrapnel in Toretsk in early January 2025 but survived, later criticizing unit leadership.
